These wheels 75mm 80a
There's no other wheels like 'em let me tell you, these wheels have been out for about 2 weeks now, and I've had them for about....2 weeks now, and I've barely scratched the release mold off of them, and I've been sliding them almost everyday. There's not a whole lot of info on the urethane but from what I know they're made in the same place RADS are made, and RADS are equally as amazing, the only complaint I had with these longboard wheels is that they're a little big for my taste but if you get them they're sure to outlast most other wheels on the market.
RAD release wheels
The RAD release longboard wheels, which stands for Rider approved designs are the new standard by which sliding wheels are made. These wheels are twice to three times as resilient as other slide wheels because of their crown core technology that splits the wheel up into 3 separate sections for a better roll speed and smoother/less chattery drift and dampens almost all vibrations. Highly recommend to any hardcore freeriders out there.

Stella 69mm longboard wheels
The Stella 69mm longboard wheels, while they may be as generic as our slide wheels serve a completely different purpose, they're square lipped as compared to round lipped which gives more grip and cushion when taking faster runs or just cruising around town. Stella longboard wheels are a great all around wheel especially for beginners but if you have any ambitions of sliding these probably aren't the best wheels to start out with, it's actually quite possible but square lipped wheels tend to "chunk" which is the result of your wheels breaking off when sliding.
Sector 9 race formula longboard wheels
While I can't write a review for EVERY Sector 9 Race formula longboard wheel since I simply haven't tried every single one. But that's the glory of Race formula at the same time, there's so many that if you can't find one that suits your sliding/racing style, then you just plain weren't looking hard enough, haha. Sector 9 has also been in the business for quite some time and their urethane for their longboard wheels are really top notch, not to mention their wheels are center set and a lot cheaper than most sliding wheels. If they start to wear unevenly just flip them and slide the other side down until they are, easy fix. That's the magic of center set wheels. Should they ever come to you and have a defect Sector 9 is really awesome about replacing their product. A cheap, reliable wheel with awesome customer service is what's up.
Venom tweaker longboard wheels
Divine road rippers
The Divine Road rippers are half square lipped and half round lipped giving you grip when you need it yet easy to initiate when drifting AND keep the edges from "chunking" which can completely destroy your longboard wheels. Compared to the street slayers which are more solely made for freeriding the road rippers were made to keep up with all of you that enjoy doing downhill and slopestyle runs. These are where I feel divine really shines since I'm more of a slopestyle kinda guy, that and they're awesome on my dancing setup, if you've never tried them, they're definitely worth a try and are highly recommended.
Divine street slayers 72mm slide wheels
The Divine street slayers have been a little underrated and we've had quite a few people coming in that would ask question but it seems a lot don't know the true quality of these wheels. While they don't exactly bring anything new to the table in the world of longboarding wheels, they have an excellent urethane and only take 1-3 good 20-30 foot slides to fully break in and they're ready to go. I've only ridden the 78a but they're buttery smooth and even grip well when I do my heavy slope runs, the only downside is they're offset so you can't flip them like a center set, other than that, these are the closest things you could have to having actual blocks of butter for wheels.
Nordboards center set slide wheels
Generic as they may be, our Nordboard center set slide wheels are not only cheap but (Especially for beginners) are pretty honkin' durable, wear really evenly, and we even fool around with a demo set just sliding around in the parking lot pushing, so there's no doubt they babies slide. The up side is that they're center set so coning isn't a huge deal, and if you have problems you can flip them, so that they wear evenly and last longer (although that rockin' graphic won't show). If you're looking for a cheap, effective, and durable slide wheel then give our wheels a try, especially if you're just starting or you're a little strapped for cash.

Abec 11 Flashbacks 70mm 84a
Earlier this spring I put some 84a abec 11 flashbacks on my 2011 landyachtz switchblade. The offset 70mm wheel is a great freeride wheel for that landyachtz switchblade. I generally ride really loose trucks so I use the paris 195mm trucks to put the wheel out just a little further so you don't bite your...yeah. At first I wasn't a super fan of the wheel as it didn't seem very buttery especially for an 84a duro. However, after a week or so of riding they really started to break in and they made my toe-side 180, to switch heel 180 smooth like butter.
Too bad those wheels are in Nairboi, Kenya with the boards, wheels, trucks and bearings. At least next time I go visit in August, 2012 they'll be an extra board, maybe a little african skate session with someone else to skate with this time! Make sure to check our some flashbacks for your next freeride wheel.
Canada - Longboard Wheels - Abec 11
Canada seems like an amazing place to visit and skate. They have so many hills, hopefully the mounties will let me in the country when I go to visit and skate some abec 11 wheels eh! The guys over at landyachtz should be able to show me some great spots. Oh can't wait to shred Canada. Check these guys out shredding some abec 11 wheels.
Abec 11 Wheels - Aaron from the Block - Longboarding
Check out Aaron from the block carving down some roads in Cali. He's riding abec 11 wheels in this video. Looks like some bigzigs to start with and finishing of some freeride / slides with some flashbacks wheels.

Longboard Skateboard - Maryhill - Otang Video
Maryhill longboarding has come and gone, skating was fast, riding was amazing, weather was perfect. Longboards have become so a major aspect in the skate industry. Check these amazing longboard riders carve down the hills in the northwest.
Orangatang Durians
These while not having the top speed and acceleration of a smaller wheel, will mob over anything in your way and will have a longer coasting time because it takes less energy to keep them going. If you're into sliding they'll be a little smoother because of the wider contact patch but may be a bit chattery because of it until worn in. Orangatang wheels has never disappointed me with their awesome longboard wheels and I keep purple durians on my cruiser and I've had them for so long that they've worn down about 3-4mm and I can whip it around for slides whenever.
Orangatang in heats
Orangatang in heats is downhill riding fit for a king. Although they say they can be slid, they can, but it takes time to break in, and they're really only meant for high speed sliding and drifting corners. Low speed freeriding will be near impossible with these, they're just too big and have way too wide of a contact patch. These were meant for speed and will definitely help you on your downhill/slope runs if you were using a round lipped longboard wheel before, or will make you feel secure and easily build confidence if you've never ridden before.
Orangatang stimulus longboard wheels
Orangatang stimulus longboard wheels are our most sold wheel in the shop, they're probably the most reliable all around wheel there is, and a lot of other seem to think so too. They're really awesome sliding wheels and can even hold their own on the turns, though there are much grippier wheels these can get it on those tight turns. If you're looking for something that'll go with just about any setup you have then look no further than the stimulus.
Orangatang 4 president
The 4 President Orangatang wheels are absolutely beastly for downhill/freeriding. These Square lipped longboard wheels grips the road amazingly but gives the right amount of slip when you need it, especially once they're broken in. A lot of people discourage sliding square lipped wheels, and at first, I'll admit it does suck but again, once broken in having the traction AND the ability to slide is worth the wait breaking them in. If you don't slide as it is, then all the better, the 4 pres are a better deal because now you'll have a wheel with plenty of grip that keep you grounded when carving.
Orangatang Fat free longboard wheel
While it is a bit smaller, don't let it deceive you, these babies roll. they have more top speed and acceleration than longboard wheels larger than it, but have less coasting time and tend to get stopped by small rocks and other such things easier. When it comes to sliding though, the 80a especially have ridiculously smooth slides whereas the 86a will be much icier and easier to initiate and the 83a being in the middle of the two. To top everything off, all Orangatang wheels are stone ground so they feel broken in right out of the package.
Landyachtz KM FSU longboard wheel
Dregs Soy Love Yo Mutha's
The Dregs Soy Love Yo Muthas are taking longboarding wheels in a whole new direction. While Sector 9 was the first to release a soy wheel, they were recalled because the formula they used couldn't hold up to more serious riding, well let me tell you, Dregs got it down. These are made in the same factory that Landyachtz longboard wheels are made. All I can say is the age of petroleum is ending, these wheels are awesome and although they don't have a durometer, I know the light green ones are the softest but they slide LIKE BUTTER, I can't even explain how much these wheels surprised me, and something kind of turned me off about a soybean based wheel at first, but I definitely only seeing good things come from these wheels, and may even make other brands have to start a soy line before they're set out of business entirely.
Sublime wheels
Sublime wheels are excellent slide wheels, and before you say "Well, they're only 80a!" It's a common misconception that 80a wheels and lower don't slide. Well the durometer while it does affect the feel of the wheel it doesn't affect it's ability to slide, a softer wheel, in this case the softballz, will slide super smooth, be better at shedding speed, and feel more controlled. Whereas a hard longboard wheel wheel will feel icier and have less traction between your wheels in the ground so it's going to feel. I personally like soft wheel sliding more than hard wheel sliding but if you haven't tried it out yet, give it a go! These sublimes are super cheap and slide like a dream.
Volante wheels
Volante wheels are fairly new to our shop but, coming from the same people who make Caliber trucks and Comet longboards you know they've got to be good. Check out Volante wheels and our other longboard wheels on our site.

Orangatang Stimulus Yellow Wheels
Orangatang Stimulus yellow wheels by Loaded Boards Inc. These wheels are great for sliding and beginner's learning how to slide. They are 70mm in size and they are 86a duro, which is still soft enough for a pretty smooth ride, yet hard enough to break free from the pavement for buttery slides once you break them in a little.
Shop NordBoards.com for the orangatang stimulus wheels!

Sector 9 Longboard Wheels
Sector 9 Longboard Wheels
Longboard wheels are a popular item these days. With the growing popularity of longboarding, good longboard wheels are becoming easier to find. Sector 9 offers a wide variety of wheels for all different types of riding. The have the smaller 54mm-60mm sized wheels that are great for your regular skate such as the deep end series sector 9 boards and for hitting up the parks that come in a range of durometer from 78a(soft) to 101a(very hard).
They also have the highly popular cruise style wheels from 61mm to 81mm in size. For your mini longboards you probably want something in the 61mm to 65mm size as they will offer a nice smooth ride and still allow the board to turn without wheel bite. The most popular size of wheel has to be the 70mm size wheel it is a great wheel for speed and also offers a smooth ride over most surfaces.
Another style wheel sector 9 makes is a carving or slalom style wheel which are highly recommended if you are using gullwing sidewinder trucks. They have a 69mm size, 72mm size, and 74mm size. Personally I prefer the 74m sector 9 wheels over any of the nineball, slalom, or top shelf style sector 9 wheels.
The newest addition to the sector 9 longboard wheels are the race formula wheels, out for a little over a year now they are made with a top of the line high quality urethane. They are available in 69mm to 81mm sizes in both cruise style and slalom or carving style wheels. Make sure to check these wheels out as they are many down hill riders favorites.

Top Brands and Styles of Longboard Wheels
Longboard Wheels
So here are a few of my tops in brands of longboard wheels then broken into my favorite styles for each brand.
Abec 11: These wheels have been proven over the years so that is why they are on top of my list. The 3 styles of wheels from abec 11 that are most popular have to be Gumballs, Flywheels, and Grippins. Gumballs come in 76mm with several different hardnesses for yout style of riding or surface of riding. Flywheels come in sizes from 76mm-97mm with a few different ranges of durometer. The grippins are a great all around slalom, carver style wheel available in a full spectrum of hardness.
Orangatang: Probably one of the most popular wheels out right now. Could possibly be in my number 1 spot just haven’t been around long enough to sit atop the rankings list. Top styles: Durians, Inheats, 4-presidents.
Retro: These are some of the top slalom and carving longboard wheels out. Top styles are Bigzigs and Zigzags and they come in several colors all representing a different durometer. My favorite are the bigzigs in lemon which I currently have on my dervish longboard.

Orangatang Freeride Wheels
The stimulus wheel was designed for freeriding, it is a mid ranged sized wheel that is great for sliding and also has the perfect amout of grip when needed. These wheels are 70mm in diameter with a 42mm contact surface patch.
Durometers: 80a Orange, 83a Purple, 86a Yellow
The stimulus freeride wheels were designed with a nice wide contact surface that is great for freeriding and can even crossover to a carving wheel in most cases. However if you want a solid carving or slalom style wheel check out the in-heat or 4-president wheels. Like all the orangatang freeride wheels the surface is stone ground for a ready to ride wheel right out of the package. 70mm is the all around size for quick acceleration and enhanced control for a longboard wheel.

Orangatang Durian Longboard Wheels Review
Orangatang Longboard Wheels (Durian)
The durians were designed for freeriding, they are grippy when needed with consistent slide characteristics to allow for smooth slides unlike some of the other wheels that create a bumpy slide. The durains are a great all around wheel.

The durians have an offset design and relatively wide contact patch for a nice solid grip (If you want more grip check out the in-heat wheels).
